Complete Household Renovations for the Fall of 2015

20150716_003218

This fall my family will be doing some major renovations to our home. We will be converting a garage and moving my studio into another part of the house. I am so excited to finally have a plan that will help our home function and look much better!!

My first steps are getting all planned and organized. I have always used planners and loved the efficiency they allow me to organize my thoughts/plans. I have also love the creative side of decorating and for many years creating and making my own planner pages.

This year with all that has been happening I have enjoyed the quick ease of the a lovely planner by Discovery House (Our Daily Bread). It has been a simple nice size planner I have used as my main personal planner. I have also LOVED a lovely Limelife Planner for my “work” planner. This planner contains all my Josephine’s Designs plans/orders and also my homeschooling planning.  I have also loved all the midori travelers, Mom’s Agenda, etc. for journaling and prayer journals.

I have recently compiled a new system for my portable planners. I will share this new system at the end of the series of articles. This will also give me more time to develop it more fully. 🙂

This is the introductory post of what is to come. I will be sharing a planner each week and then in the end share my new portable system!! 🙂 After that I will gladly share how all the planning will…Lord willing, manifest itself in the renovations of our home. 🙂

I am excited to share all that I have learned in my journey and hopefully these will encourage you in yours!! 🙂

Have a wonderful week in the Lord,

Long Time No Post…

Hello Dear Friends,

I have not been around to post lately. My greatest apologies.

We live in the area of the United States that has been dealing with the horrible flooding. We are so thankful to the Lord for all his grace and mercies in such a difficult time. We continue to pray for many in our area and state that are still dealing with tremendous loss. Our property did well thanks to my husband’s amazing ability to proactively set up systems that in the worst of the storm we were able to pump, bail and divert water that saved our home and barn with minimal damage. We did lose our water well…which in all that rain it’s funny to say you need water. But when you have been vacuuming water up for hours…a bath is nice to have or at least able to wash your hands. And we also had a leak in our roof but again my sweet husband was able to repair all those issues. And finally all our livestock did just fine…PTL!!! Our family members in other heavily flooded areas of the state also fared even better than we did…PTL!!!

And then after all the rains, my blessing of a computer finally sang it’s last song. So I had to wait a little to pick up my new little blessing yesterday from the store. 🙂 What a gift it is to be able to type and post!! I have been using my phone and my limited use of my tablet that also needed some doctoring!! So yesterday was one stop shopping…I was able to pick up my computer I had ordered and take my tablet in for some minor repairs that were well needed!! 🙂

I look forward to catching up in the next week and resume posting. I hope each of you are creating lovely work to encourage and bless others!! I have many projects in the works and look forward to sharing.

Have a wonderful week in the Lord,

k
